Deer Creek Express
This scenic 90 minute trip offers incredible views of the Wasatch Back Mountains, the wide-open vistas of Deer Creek Reservoir, and the beautiful Heber Valley. The Deer Creek Express departs from the depot, follows the shores of Deer Creek Reservoir to Decker Bay (about 7 track miles), and returns.
Snacks are available for purchase in the depot prior to boarding and on board the train.
NOTICE: If you are joining other family or friends on the train, and they have purchased separate tickets, and you want to sit near each other in the same train coach, you must call the ticket office and make arrangements prior to the day of your scheduled train! Call 435.654.5601

Dates:
The Deer Creek Express runs most Mondays & Thursdays - Saturdays at 1pm and 3:30 pm until October 31st 2025. The 2026 Deer Creek Express starts again on January 19th.

2025 Schedule - Departs at 11am - Beginning June 2nd/ Returns at approximately 12:30 pm (Saturdays in 2025)Departs at 1pm - Returns at approximately 2:30pmDeparts at 3:30pm and returns at approximately 5:00pm
Regular Fares:
$30.00 - Adult (age 12+) Coach General Admission
$20.00 - Child (age 2-11) Coach General Admission - Children 1 and under do not need a ticket.
Table for 4 in the 850 Table Car - $200.00
- Children 1 and under do not need a seat.
Table for 2 in the 850 (shared table for 4) - $100.00
- Children 1 and under do not need a seat.
Rent the Red Caboose! Seats up to 12 people. $600.00 Must call the ticket office and reserve 24 hours before.
The Red Caboose is not available in the winter months.
*Lunch option must be ordered 24-hours before departure. Delicious boxed lunch includes sandwich with your choice of a ham, turkey, roast beef, vegetarian or a gluten-friendly lettuce wrap; cookie, chips, and bottled water.

With historic train equipment we have to occasionally take cars out of service unexpectedly for maintenance or repairs. This may require us to change the coach or class of service you purchased a ticket for. Please be understanding if this happens to you!
